Beyond the halls, the classrooms, the drama and of course graduation, i learned so much on a personal level in the last three years of my life.
I thought id share them with my good friend b, and of course leave them as a memoir for myself in years to come.
Love:
- Good girls seem to finish last. The semi-pretty, always drunk, mess of a girl has the hot boy that gets straight A's and goes on fishing trips with his dad. He loves her, for all of the mess that she is. A lot of boys want to feel like they can save a girl. I have learned this not through experience but through what I have seen. Take D, he is a good guy, could have a lot of good girls, but instead he is dating this girl who he met when she showed up drunk at work... his friend had to help her because she couldnt stand. They are in love.
Not all boys are like this of course, but secretly, the damsel in distress trumps the girl whos saving herself.
- Choose relationships wisely, they will always end with a change and a rush of emotions. Take it from someone who has been in relationships from 2 days to several months. The two day relationship had fall out, and caused pain, confusion and thinking. Don't get into a relationship if you dont think the potential pain is worth it. You will smile, you will cry and you will have to decide how it will end(unless of course you get married!). Just breathe, so does every other couple.
- Don't run from love. As much as heartbreak hurts, and makes everything so much harder for a period of time, a life without love hurts that much worse.
- Give that weird boy in the corner, that awkwardly stares at you a chance. He thinks your beautiful and could treat you better than any other less-awkward boy.
- From a selfish perspective all is fair in love and war. Think from a considerate perspective, because one day you could be on the other side, wishing they would not be selfish.
- You are good enough for him. Period.
- You will fight if you care about something. People fight and it really does only make a relationship stronger
Feel:
- Drinking wont take the pain away. You can't supress or remove emotions with any substance or bad activites. It can help you try to forget, but at the end of the day the pain is still there.
- Don't run from how you feel. It will catch up.
- As bad as things are, someone in the world is in the same situation, and someone else who is very happy... was once in that situation too.
- Don't go on about how much you hate someone. That makes them look so much better then you for leaving it alone. When you see them in the hall and make akward eye contact with them, smile or confidently look away. By being okay with things, they will be to. This can resolve future conflicts.
- You are beautiful. No one on this planet is "ugly", if each of us matched the description of "hot", the people who would be considered "ugly" would suddenly be beautiful just because they were different. Have you ever heard boys argue over a girl being hot or ugly? Differences.
There is my brief collection of high school lessons<3

This was the blog to define all blogs. Thanks Sam. Everything you wrote even the stuff that I knew was so comforting to read.
My favorite parts were:
-Good girls seem to finish last//secretly, the damsel in distress trumps the girl whos saving herself.
- Don't run from love//a life without love hurts that much worse.
- Give that weird boy in the corner a chance. He could treat you better than any other less-awkward boy.
- You are good enough for him. Period.
- Don't run from how you feel. It will catch up to you.
- As bad as things are, someone in the world is in the same situation, and someone else who is very happy... was once in that situation too.
[Best line ever! I have never heard anything like that before!]
Love you Samm <3
